Following church service on March 15, Alianza Comunitaria & Universidad Popular will lead a practical training session titled Community Defense Training. It will equip attendees with knowledge of their constitutional rights, the ability to recognize ICE enforcement, and the skills to legally and safely document immigration enforcement in our community, bringing greater accountability and transparency to ICE and a level of protection to those in our community. This training will help us join with others who are already doing this work.
We will have a quick light lunch after the service and get started at noon, finishing by 2 pm. There will be childcare for Pre-K through 5th grade.
You will need to register for this event so we can have enough food and childcare workers.
