Volunteer for our Food Pantry

The Sanctuary Pantry is a thriving ministry at OSC, powered by dedicated volunteers who are ready to roll up their sleeves. This is real, physical work. We ask that volunteers commit to showing up dependably.

Weekly Volunteer Roles

We’re looking for people who can give about three hours a week on either Monday mornings or Friday afternoons, with a minimum three-month commitment. Common responsibilities include:

  1. Picking up food donations (requires personal vehicle)

  2. Sorting and boxing food for distribution

  3. Breaking down boxes and trash from pickups

  4. Helping guests load food into vehicles

  5. Delivering food to guests who cannot come in

Please note: volunteers must be able to lift at least 25 lbs and be comfortable with physical tasks.

Other Ways to Help

We know not everyone can give that level of commitment, and that’s okay! You can still support the Pantry by:

  1. Hosting a Food Drive – Rally your workplace, neighborhood, or community group. (Resources available [here].)

  2. Helping at Special Events – Sign up to serve at one-time events such as:

    1. Back-to-School Resource Fair (August)

    2. Senior Thanksgiving Lunch (November)

    3. Christmas Gift Giveaway (November)

Help support our pantry:

Consider making a donation to keep our food pantry thriving. We feed over 500+ people a month and cannot do it without your support. Any amount helps.
