Yesterday at our annual congregational meeting The Oceanside Sanctuary members present unanimously approved our Fiscal Year 26-27 slate of Board members and officers and the proposed Fiscal Year 26-27 budget.
CONGREGATIONAL GROWTH & IMPACT
OSC continues to grow steadily, adding 55 congregants in the last year for a total of 501 active congregants as of June 28, 2026. This year we saw the strongest growth in our core leadership group, with 30 new volunteer leaders trained this year to lead in our Meetup groups, Ministry teams, and Board committees. These leaders and ministries drove the programs and ministries at OSC to be more impactful than ever.
BOARD OF ELDERS APPROVED
The congregation unanimously approved the proposed FY 26/27 Board slate. This included the addition of one new Board member, Benikia Kressler, who will be occupying a seat vacated by Dan Omniewski, who is retiring from Board service after three terms. In addition, the following Board members were approved for renewed terms of service: Jen Zoutendyk as Board Chair, Doug Kurz as Treasurer, Andy Eaton as Secretary, and Brenda Van Vreeswyk.

Summary of FY 25/26 Revenue & Expenses
For fiscal year 25/26, our total revenue is projected to come in at $573k, exceeding the total budgeted revenue by $72k. Overall expenses are projected to come in at $490k roughly $400 over budget. Careful savings toward a future roof replacement over the past few years have resulted in reserve funds of $207k plus a checking account balance of $108k for a total cash position of $316k.
Summary of Approved 26/27 Budget
The congregation unanimously approved the proposed FY 25/26 budget of $552k and expenses of $547k. This budget includes pay increases for all staff, ranging from 3.7% for the Co-Lead Pastors to up to 8% for staff. Additional staffing and personnel funds were added to hire for a Kids Ministries Manager, an Administrative Coordinator, and a Facilities Coordinator in the coming year.
