Help us reach our Supporting Member goal by June 30th

Dear friends,

June at OSC marks the season for our annual supporting member drive! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we cannot operate without your generosity. So just like your favorite public radio station, once a year we invite you to become a supporting member of OSC.

Supporting Members make a commitment to contribute weekly, monthly, or annually to our church’s mission. If you’re ready to make that membership commitment, please click here to sign up on our membership page.

OUR GOAL: 15 NEW SUPPORTING MEMBER HOUSEHOLDS by june 30

Our Supporting Member gift this year is the OSC canvas messenger bag!

By the end of our current fiscal year on June 30, we expect our general contributions to reach about $420k. This represents 9% growth from the prior fiscal year year! Our hope is to grow again by 8% next year, which amounts to an additional $34,000 in giving. Based on our average per household giving of $2,400 per year, that means we hope to add at least 15 NEW Supporting Member households to meet next year’s budget.

Please consider becoming one of those 15 new supporting members by clicking here today to sign up for regular giving. Any amount you are able to give helps us pursue our mission! And we’re excited to unveil our Supporting Member gift this year is an OSC canvas messenger bag! Every household that signs-up at any giving amount will receive a messenger bag as our humble thanks for your generous support.

BUT WHAT ARE YOU SUPPORTING?

Our vision is to be an expression of inclusive, inspiring, and impactful Christian spirituality wherever it is needed. We believe this kind of open, generous, and justice-oriented Christianity is needed more than ever before.

To pursue this vision, we gather weekly to learn how to follow Jesus’ teachings faithfully. We craft sermons, podcasts, and classes that challenge harmful expressions of Christianity point toward the radically inclusive gospel of Jesus. We gather in community groups to build deeper relationships of acceptance and mutual support. We cultivate safe fun spaces for our kids to learn about the love of God. We work together to learn how to be a more anti-racist church and we advocate for just local policies and raise our voices for marginalized neighbors. We rally our time and money to supplement the pantries of more than 400 neighbors wrestling with food insecurity. And we collaborate with other nonprofits to build a broader community that is safer and more welcoming for all people regardless of race, sexuality, or creed. We lean into collective spiritual practices to discern the Spirit of God for our future.

We do all this because of our faith in Christ inspires us to. We give our lives for each other in live, starting with those who are suffering most, because our liberation and salvation is bound up with theirs.

DO YOU VALUE this mission?

We can’t do this without your support. So if you value our mission, please consider becoming a Supporting Member today by clicking here. Any amount you can give makes a big difference.
