May is here which means it’s time for our annual volunteer drive! As our church community grows quickly, so does our opportunity to create an even more inclusive, inspiring, and impactful community of faith right here in North County. We believe that everyone has unique gifts and talents to share, and you are invited to join us in making a real difference through volunteering.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to connect with others at OSC, deepen your relationships, and serve community needs. We have plenty of opportunities to match your interests and availability:
Help us create inclusive, inspiring, and safe Sunday Gatherings by joining one of several Sunday Teams. We need folks to help with everything from welcoming, to children’s ministry, to tech and worship team help.
Help foster relationships and growth beyond Sunday morning by hosting a Community Group. We are hoping to start at least two new community groups next fall.
Offer compassionate support by becoming a Peer Partner to walk alongside other OSC members who are experiencing life transitions.
Advocate for a better world by joining one of our three social justice teams: Justice Works, the Anti-Racism Team, and The Queer Committee.
Use your practical skills as part of our newly formed Maintenance Team to help make sure our 100-year-old building continues to serve our community well.
Our goal is to welcome 20 new volunteers across all our teams by May 31st. This is a big goal for our church, but there is a big need for a community of faith that truly welcomes everyone to the table of grace. We can’t pursue that mission without you. Here are three simple steps for getting involved:
