As we step into a new year at The Oceanside Sanctuary and a renewed vision and mission, you are invited to lean into community and help us cultivate a Christian spirituality “reclaiming its calling to be known for love, liberation, and the celebration of God’s image in all people.”
May is our annual volunteer drive! As our church community grows, so does our opportunity to create an even more inclusive, inspiring, and impactful community of faith right here in North County. We believe that everyone has unique gifts and talents to share, and we invite you to join us in making a real difference through volunteering.
These teams are groups of 5-10 people who work together to advance our mission "to grow together in the love, peace, and justice of Christ for the sake of our relationships, our cities, and our world.” They each address specific social justice areas. If you are interested, just complete the quick form below and we will follow up to answer any questions you have and connect you with these team starting in January.
To kick-off Advent, join us on Sunday, December 3rd at 10am for a unique Sunday Gathering entitled, Advent’s Light: Celebrating Song, Story, and Community. All ages will enjoy singing, interactive storytelling, and community. Stick around after the service to sip hot cocoa, eat cookies, and a chance to make your own Advent wreath. We encourage individuals and families of all kinds to come together and embrace the spirit of the Advent season!
We still have a few spots for volunteers on our Sunday welcome team! Members of this team serve about one Sunday per month. They create a welcoming environment by setting up the coffee cart, offering a friendly face for people as the arrive, and handing out bulletins and communion cups. We provide all the supplies, you just show up a little early once each months and help welcome people as they arrive.
