As we step into a new year at The Oceanside Sanctuary and a renewed vision and mission, you are invited to lean into community and help us cultivate a Christian spirituality “reclaiming its calling to be known for love, liberation, and the celebration of God’s image in all people.”
As we enter the New Year we are asking the question: What if the world we are hoping for – the world Jesus envisioned in his life and ministry – begins with how we live each and every day? June was a busy month at OSC! In addition to our Mission 2030 Dreaming Sunday, Pride Sunday, Fathers Day, and our annual Congregational Meeting, we also conducted our annual Supporting Member drive. Today we want to offer a sincere thanks to all who continued their Supporting Memberships and all who signed up for the first time.
In response to continued steady growth, The Oceanside Sanctuary members present at yesterday’s annual congregational meeting unanimously approved a change three proposals: 1) A chage to our bylaws, 2) our Fiscal Year 2025/2025 Board slate, and 3) Our Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget. Below is a summary of the decisions made.
It is with full hearts and a touch of bittersweet emotion that we share some important news: our beloved Family Minister, Claire Watson, will soon be transitioning off staff at Oceanside Sanctuary. This past Saturday, Claire was officially ordained as a minister in the United Methodist Church, an incredible milestone that opens the door to a new chapter.
